The IQP (Income-Qualified Program) Policy Team is seeking a Regulatory Analyst for a nine-month position (could be extended depending on performance and business need). 

  • This position will primarily be responsible for leading the reporting coordination for the IOP’s monthly and annual reports on program progress for the CARE, FERA and ESA programs. These reports are produced both on a monthly, and in a one-time per year annual basis, for the CA Public Utilities Commission and other stakeholders. These comprehensive reports detail program outcomes and progress, and are a mix of a narrative (written) report and excel based tables (quantitative). The Annual Report typically is ~200 pages of narrative accompanied by ~45 Excel tables and over ~30 individual staff and subject matter experts (SMEs) contribute to the report.
  • The Regulatory Analyst will lead the coordination of these reports, including developing a timeline and project plan, coordinating with subject matter experts for content contributions, managing revisions and editing processes, combining files, and conducting the filing of the reports with PG&E’s legal and paralegal teams. In addition to the monthly and annual reports, this position will support project management for a regulatory Application process, as well tracking and reporting the department’s regulatory compliance items.
  • The person in this role must possess strong written and verbal communication and be an agile learner. The successful candidate must also pay close attention to detail, thrive in a high-volume work environment, and be able to independently manage and execute tasks at a high level.

Minimum requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, policy, or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Two (2) years of job-related experience
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to analyze, understand and communicate information accurately
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with ability to address issues, educate, influence and present complex information with ease and clarity to management Internal

Desired:

  • Utility industry or regulatory experience
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency and low-income programs or similar programs and projects as the role will be covering
  • Experience with similar job functions including reporting for statewide CA ratepayer funded programs
