LOOKING FOR LOCAL CANDIDATES WITHIN CLIENT SERVICE TERRITORY NEAR WORK LOCATION-SAN RAMON OR BAY AREA. ASSIGNMENT IS MAINLY REMOTE BUT 5% POSSIBILITY OF ON-SITE MEETINGS AT SAN RAMON LOCATION.

- Strong understanding of how to present complex safety information in a concise, accessible format.

Technical Writer edits existing Code of Safe Practices manual and creates additional content as required that enable client to maintain compliance with all safety requirements for our client and contract coworkers, our customers and the public.
Collaborates with, and gathers information from, internal and external clients to develop edit and develop content for documents, in an orderly, concise manner, which are typographically, grammatically, and technically correct.
- Take complex technical information and make it clear and easy-to-understand for frontline audience.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, MS Teams and PowerPoint
- Flowcharts and organization charts development (iGrafx Preferred, Visio is acceptable) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Desired
- High standards for writing, detail, editing, and information design that lead to accurate, concise, usable, highly-polished content
- User-focused approach to documentation planning, design, and content strategy
Qualifications:
Education Minimum
- BA/BS in English, Technical Writing, or related field; or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of Technical Writing, content management, process improvement
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiar with client policies and procedures with regard to safety, and Company Guidance Document Management (GDM) standards
- Fully competent in Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint
- Proficient in documentation technologies and processes
- Good verbal communication skills to collaborate with peers, content owners and collect necessary information for documents
- Good multi-tasking, adaptability and organizational skills
