Working in the field, under the supervision of the Field Service Manager, this

position is responsible for installation, maintenance, servicing, and testing of

high quality medical device systems and system components. Up to 80%

domestic travel is required for this role.

JOB DUTIES:

• Primary responsibility is to perform proper system installation, conduct

system hardware and/or software upgrades, handle service repair calls, and

complete regularly scheduled preventive maintenance service on medical

systems.

• Provide complete and accurate service records for submittal to Quality

Management System.

• Efficiently manage work related travel and relevant communication based on

weekly schedule set forth by Field Service Manager.

• Provide accurate and regular business expense reports, adhering to

Company policy

• Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support

of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management

Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

• Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other

regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes,

and task assignments.

• Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with

all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.

• Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates or technical degree required (or relevant experience)

• Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering is preferred.

• Exceptional troubleshooting ability

• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds

• Mechanical assembly, able to work with tools

• Previous experience in a medical device company preferred

• Strong organizational and follow-up skills

• Ability to interface with multiple groups in the organization to resolve service

issues.

• Overall positive and optimistic attitude.

• Technical writing skills are a plus

• Works well independently

• Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit

model preferred.

• Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business

environment.

• Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced,

Job Title : Field Safety Auditor
Location: Bay Area, CA - Onsite

TOP THINGS:

  •  Work Experience: Excavation Safety, Rigging, Ability to identify hazards and mitigate
  •  Willingness to travel
  •  OSHA 30 certification is a huge plus. Or, having some kind of safety certificate and ability/experience to work on the fields is a MUST have.
  •  Field audits exp. is a huge plus. 

LOCALITY: Candidates can be within the service territory.

Position Summary

The Field Safety Specialist supports the accident investigation team as a subject matter expert to help determine causal factors. This position also ensures mutual collaboration with line of business and integrates in all levels of the organization regarding safety (field employees, grassroots).

Job Responsibilities

  • Conducts field and driver observations.
  • Collaboratively coaches’ employees on observed strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Communicates safety trends and recommends safety corrective actions.
  • Coaches LOB supervisors on new safety programs.
  • Serves as a Safety subject matter expert for LOB supervisors and field employees.
  • Consults with LOB Supervisors on incident investigations, SIAP completion and corrective actions development.
  • May attend Safety Kickoffs or morning meetings with crews to discuss new safety information.
  • Engages and collaborates with the Grass Roots Safety Team.
  • Partners with Corporate Safety partners to ensure alignment with the over-arching Corporate Safety program and collaborate in resolution to systematic issues.
  • Performs technical safety audits and assessments as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  •  High School Diploma or GED Diploma.
  •  Three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Certification in OSHA 30

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  •  Solid knowledge of Safety procedures and the Code of Safe Practices.
  •  Solid knowledge of CalOSHA general industry and construction safety orders and basic knowledge of other recognized safety regulations and standards (e.g., ANSI, NFPA, FedOSHA, etc).
  •  Proficient at conducting and evaluating root cause analysis investigations and evaluating the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  •  Proficient at conducting hazard evaluations for complex jobs and recommending appropriate controls.
  •  Knowledge of job safety analysis.
  •  Knowledge of quality corrective action understanding.
  •  Knowledge of office and field ergonomics.
  •  Demonstrates skill in delivering clear, understandable oral presentations to groups.
