ASSIGNMENT IS REMOTE BUT POSITION WILL REQUIRE TRAVEL TO ROCKLIN OFFICE WHILE BEING TRAINED.

Job Description:
- Under limited supervision, prepares CWA’s, SAA and Change Orders and other contracts.
- Ensure timely contract approvals according to relevant delegation of authority or governance
- Reviews the validity of change order requests, negotiates co-terms and amounts and prepares contract change orders from field change order summaries
- Handles contractor relationships to continually improve quality, service and cost
- Maintains legal requirements for contracts, makes updates as required, and works with Law on contract review
- Supports senior contract specialists with research and analysis
- Supports the identification and mitigation of contract risk and issues
- Prepares and delivers contract status reporting
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in job-related discipline or equivalent experience
- Three years of work experience in contract and/or project management or other legal / regulatory field
Desired Qualifications:
- Significant training in, contracts, purchasing, organizational management, or process/project management.
- Knowledge and experience in drafting contractual terms and language.
- Knowledge and experience in contract negotiations
- Understanding of contractor safety requirements
- Comfortable and effective verbal, written, and multi-channel communications to meet the needs of various audiences
- Experience and capability with Ariba, SAP (invoicing / billing functions), database management
- Competency using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Detail oriented, to ensure high quality, timely, accurate work products and to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Utility Industry experience
- Supply Chain experience
