LOOKING FOR LOCAL CANDIDATES CURRENTLY RESIDING LOCAL TO BAY AREA/WORK LOCATION-SAN JOSE. ASSIGNMENT IS HYBRID AND MOSTLY REMOTE BUT REQUIRED ON-SITE AS NEEDED IN SAN JOSE. PG&E LAPTOP TO BE ISSUED OR CAN USE PERSONAL LAPTOP.  PERSONAL PHONE REQUIRED AND WITH MANAGER PRIOR APPROVAL A PRE-DETERMINED AMOUNT FOR CELL AND INTERNET CAN BE EXPENSED MONTHLY.

  • Perform credit risk evaluation of commercial customer accounts to assess credit worthiness, assure sufficient securitization and mitigate bad debt exposure.
  • Assess existing financial and utility specific data sources to develop risk profiles, predictive behavior models, and screening schemes (i.e. External reports: Credit Risk Monitoring, Dunn & Bradstreet Business Information Reports & Benchmarking/Best Practices of other Utilities. Internal Reports: Accounts Receivables CC-0044, Billing Risk and Deposits Report CC-5744.
  • Analyze portfolio and vintage performance of existing commercial customers.
  • Work to Streamline Credit policies/procedures via automated solutions, process improvements and outreach efforts with partners throughout the Company.
  • Support Accounts Receivables Unit, Commercial Deposit & Fraud Unit, Bankruptcy Supervisors to ensure Credit Operations & Credit Policy goals and metrics are met.
  • Identify, evaluate, and segment risk (Identify specific payment behaviors of commercial customers. Evaluate and analyze payment behaviors of current commercial customer base and develop customer segmentation of credit treatment based on customer's risk).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Business Administration or an equivalent
  • Combination of education and experience (one year of relevant work experience may be substituted for one year of college education)
  • At least one year of education/training or experience in Corporate Credit Risk
  • Analysis, Root Cause Analysis and Understanding Financial Statements
  • A minimum of 2 years of finance related job experience such as Loan Officer,
  • Risk Management, Financial Management, or Credit Risk Management
