The Business Operations team at SuccessFactors (SFSF) is growing rapidly and is at the center of cross suite operational excellence, innovation and execution. They work cross functionally in a matrixed environment across Engineering, DC Operations and Product to deliver the next generation of products, design and user experience. Altassian products form the foundation on which SuccessFactors PDLC processes are built. They are integral to the planning, developing, releasing, and sustaining of the SuccessFactors product suite.

They are also used for day-to-day management of the 10+ data centers. Atlassian Administrators are instrumental in helping improve the productivity of the team. Deliverables you will manage, including but not limited to, are:

  • Support JIRA project administration by setting up effective workflows, complex projects, security schemes, custom forms, fields, dashboards and report configurations

  • Gather requirements from internal engineering / data center operations processes and determine ways to optimize/improve them by leveraging JIRA, Confluence.

  • Setup and manage Jira Portfolio plans.

  • Setup automated reports, dashboards and filters as well as utilize third party add-ons in JIRA and Confluence

  • Understand the Jira SQL Schema and be able to extract data when it not possible to get it from the application.

  • Define and maintain best practices and train internal users on JIRA, Confluence, and other tools/services

  • Day to day systems administration of JIRA and Confluence including performance tuning and ensuring proper scaling to match usage growth.

  • Install, configure, maintain, administer, and enhance JIRA, Confluence as well as other tools/applications

  • Collaborate effectively with other teams to exploit new technologies to enhance the applications and engineering services offerings


Previous experience  as  a  Jira/Confluence  administrator, with additional experience as a Unix systems administrator is a must to succeed in this role. Experience with ServiceNow is a plus.


  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science; MBA a plus.

  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar role with a demonstrated track record in delivering business value using technology solutions

  • Customer focused with high degree of empathy.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills with a clear focus under pressure

  • Organized and pays attention to detail

  • Must be proactive, with proven ability to advance on multiple tasks in a given timeframe

  • Experience adapting to rapidly changing environments

  • Able to manage multiple prioritize
